RYT200 | Vikasa Yoga
Machi's Weekly Class Schedule:
Through Yoga, I want to share the happiness of discovering and being true to yourself.
When I was 15 years old, I left Japan and moved to England on my own to reach my dream and become a ballet dancer. That’s where I started Yoga - in the professional ballet school in London.
My first teacher was of old age, but full of energy, a very inspirational teacher who was also teaching our ballet class besides the almost everyday Yoga class.
As a ballet student my environment was very competitive. Together with living by myself on the other side of the world, the situation could get quite stressful. However, because of Yoga, I was still able to handle the situation and find calmness in the midst of a hectic time.
After my time as a student in London I worked as a professional ballet dancer in The Netherlands, Norway, Hong Kong and Georgia. Wherever I went I kept up my Yoga practice on my own or took classes.
It really helped me stay balanced in such a competitive environment.
In 2015, when living in Hong Kong, I visited Vikasa Yoga owned by Konstantin Miachin in Thailand for a week long yoga retreat with my husband. That one week experience was very unique and transformative.
In April 2018, we came back and completed the Yoga Alliance 200 hours (RYT).
After that, I moved to Fukuoka and decided to share happiness with everyone through One Love Yoga.
