What if I show up late?

We know that things happen in life and it is OK to discreetly join our classes late. Please be respectful to the other students already in their Yoga practice. Check if there appears to be a silent practice in progress, and if so, please wait outside the room until these practices have concluded. When you enter the room, please do so quietly and set up your mat in the nearest available space. Once settled, you can take some time to settle down and take a few deep breaths as needed.

Any other rules, recommendations or requests?

We recommend not to eat much at least 2 hours before class. We recommend not drinking much or any water during class, but we allow students to bring water bottles into the practice space. Different to that of working out, or practicing very strong and sweaty yoga classes, hydrating during class is not necessary. Also, most feel better without anything in their stomachs. Consider drinking a bit of water prior to the class start and hydrate accordingly after class is finished. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a towel if needed. Arrive at least 10 min before class. 20 min before class if it is your first class at that location. Mats and props are provided free-of-charge to most classes. We only ask that after any class, please wipe your mat, roll it up, and neatly return all mat/props to the same place where you found them. Note: Please try to return all props in a uniform way. Mats are tightly and evenly rolled up. Straps are tightly rolled. Blocks are stacked on the corresponding shelves.

Registration

Can I book a class in advance?

Right now, our policy is no pre-registration required for our regular weekly classes. You can just show up to any class at least 5 minutes early and set up. You can click "Going" on Meetup, and we really love to see that! It isn't required though. For most workshops, retreats, and other events, pre-registration on this website or on Meetup is required.

If I don't register, are you sure there will there be a space for me?

Yes! All of our classes are in very, very spacious rooms. We can fit at least 40 people in each space. There will be a space available for you to practice.

Which classes are taught in English?

All of our classes are taught in English as the primary language.

What if I don't speak English? Can I join?

Our classes are taught both verbally and visually. You will enjoy the class no matter your language ability. You will also improve your English understanding with every class you take. All of our Instructor Team speaks Japanese. If we see a native Japanese speaker struggling to understand, we may give some cues and instructions in Japanese. Even if you speak another language, we demonstrate all postures as we instruct before coming around to make adjustments. Many people come to our classes just to listen, watch, and follow along. You will have a great time and get the benefits of Yoga!

Hiring & Media

I want to teach Yoga or I want to collaborate to host a workshop or event. How can I do that?

We recommend anyone wanting to join or collaborate with One Love Yoga to show up to a few classes and introduce yourself. We all got to know each other by coming to each other's classes. Meeting in person is what makes the difference, and joining our community to experience it for yourself makes that easiest for everyone. We consider collaboration proposals or requests based on the interactions we have with you and how your work can compliment our community members and our Purpose and Vision, and how we can support what you do.

I'm a journalist or active on social media and want to help get the word out about this awesome community so more people can benefit!

Thanks! We are available for collaborations to get the word out about our community and offerings. Please Contact Roy!
